JK2006	One of the first things Roger did when I got out was call up to subscribe to the Tipsheet at his home! I sadly had to let him know it was free at present.
JK2006	EMI has named former Warner Music Group chairman/CEO Roger Ames head of EMI Music North America. He will have offices in New York and Los Angeles and report to EMI CEO Eric Nicoli. Ames is familiar with EMI's operations. He has been serving as a senior adviser to the company since March 2005. And in 1999, shortly after taking the reins of WMG, he led an ill-fated attempt to merge Warner Music and EMI. The deal was scrapped when it became apparent that it would not bear up to scrutiny from the European Commission.
