In the "old" days (1980s) Black Box got to number one by DJs and clubs buying several different mixes of the same song on different discs. Each purchase counted as a seperate sale towards the charts. So .. nothing new there. The downloads probably count as the same song sold twice, but with a kind of 'special offer'.

They count as 2 downloads. So that reports as 2 sales for the artist. It's a well used ploy to bump up download sales figures.

I think you will find the key is in the ISRC codes. They will probably show up twice in the midweeks as McFly did, and be combined by the final compilation of the chart.
