Sounds as though TaP don’t know who the artist will be, they’re just going to supervise the track which will doubtless comprise electronic drums, synth bass, synth leads and pads. The song will have no discernible melody and a non-lyric. TaP will be thinking ‘cool’.
What’s required is a song written by a real songwriter - not from a bygone era - with a performance by a good modern day singer. Not what the BBC will most likely select: somebody mediocre, possibly an unknown or a take on a K-pop act. All with silly haircuts, naff clothes and daft moves.
Prepare for disappointment!
So nothing that has been done before for the UK.
It's like a badge of honour now for the UK to get nil points.
Can someone explain to me what the appeal to K-pop is ? I remember J-pop in which Chage and Aska started it off in the 90's from memory. |

100% right. UK will be in the bottom 20s, if that far up. |

The BBC have linked up with TaP! Dua Lipa (not involved). A couple of years ago it was BMG! Great excitement. They haven't got a clue, have they? When the ship is sinking with a huge hole in the hull, you don't use a band aid. Unless you're Bob Geldof. |
