The local radio stations can maybe point you in some useful directions.
Also, if possible, try have a word with someone connected to Liverpool or Everton football clubs. The players have celeb status along with top musicians, so they know people who know people. They could pass the word around. |

Your best bet to save you a headache, is to go through the Yellow Pages and find a local agent who can do the whole lot as package for you at a fixed price.
Taking all the entertainment on as well as the event structure is a real headache, it`s doable,(I`ve done it) but dealing with every artists needs direct is best farmed out to someone else and freeing yourself up for the rest. |

Can anyone give me some ideas? I'm helping organise an awards event in Liverpool to reward the achievements of children aged 9-13 who have had to overcome barriers in order to achieve and make a difference in their community.
The event is taking place at Aintree racecourse and we're looking to try and get some celebrities to present awards and a band who could perform a few songs but because we've never done anything like this we don't know how to go about approaching anyone to ask them. We're a charity organisation and have limited funds so we're looking for local celebrities that might consider doing it in support of their community.
Could anyone suggest any artists in Liverpool or suggest who i could approach about booking people?
Thanks |
