Ivan Cristoff Some thought EJ's Glastonbury set was the best ever - but everyone's entitled to their opinion. And most fans recognise that a performer, in his 70's, won't be as good or as agile as in their 20's!

There's little anyone can do about the aging process - but I'd prefer to have the option of seeing the older version, than no option at all. Particularly for unique artists like EJ, Rod, Paul, Dolly, Celine etc.

I watched his entire set and enjoyed it to a degree but let's be honest, his voice isn't what it was (and nowhere near the Cat Stevens quality) and sadly he really doesn't look well. I think he's about the same age as me but his waddle walk makes him look ten years older. This time I suspect it really IS his last UK show. Incredible back catalogue; some stunning songs but he's no performer, is he? Brandon Flowers upstaged him when it comes to physical power.

Credit where it is due he knows this is the right time to retire. Elton has done more gigs than Cat Stevens, didn't Cat Stevens retire from touring in late 70's/early 80s? Not including benefits concerts.

A lot of rock bands from the 70s are still touring, but they look embarrassing a lot voices are shot.

Also a lot of bands have some many lineups they are now pub with a famous moniker they can use.
Martin Hutchinson Totally agree.
