Early orders from fans seem to have been paying more, no real surprise there.

People downloading it free via Limewire etc suggests this is an adapted behaviour not a conscious avoidance of paying.

A guess at 1.2 million downloads in week one - apparently more than the 3 previous releases combined.

Anyone know if this means they've earned more?

So the fans will pay and some free/stolen downloads are the place some people get their music from.

It will be interesting to see how concerts and merchandise perform.

Prince did well enough giving his CD away.
