Martin K Yep totally agree was a great night, thought all the bands and people that played were really good. Totally blown away by Si Genero's awesome harmonica playing last night, wow, dont think i have ever heard someone make that instrument sound soooooo good.
Martin K Well here we are up and running, very tired but on a roll if you know what I mean.
What has surprised me about the Elvis cover cd we have created, is A. how so many people have achieved so much in a short space of time WITHOUT getting paid a penny. And B.The amount of respect given by the young acts/performers, to the older acts.
Everybody adores The Count and eDen(the small "E"is deliberate),this brings us back to the case of Orson of course.
You cannot keep telling the youth what they should be listening to, by ramming it at the wall.
They will choose for themselves and seek it out.
The Elvis songs are so good still, and to hear so many interpretaions by different sounding bands has shown this.
One of the things that worried me prior to the event last night, was that some of the bands had not created their live sounds in the studio, I can assure all listeners after watching the show last night, this is not the case, real music by real acts.
When I see the 18+ generation singing these songs from our daft project ,I feel very proud.
The memories of Elvis had been lost on generations by the "guy in the suit at the end of the pier".
I am pushing and pushing this project and will continue to help and shove all the bands involved, and we WILL break through!
