JK2006 I was a very early Davey fan with The Crocketts (still two of my favourite Tipsheet tracks are Mrs Playing Dead and On Something) and I love The Crimea for two reasons... Davey's voice and his songs.
Neither vocals nor songs impress me with the Portion yet.
Correct your MySpace blurb. Who needs an ad in the middle of copy? Let alone in the middle of a word (themsel...ves)?
Take care of the detail and the world gets conquered without you noticing.
Martin K I agree with the above comment, just go for it at the moment, it`s a funny time.
Search out open mic nights and the like.
Beattie Don't go searching for a deal. DIY is the way forward. If it means that much to you then you'll find the funding for it somewhere. Treat it like a business - build the hype - gig 3 or 4 times a week - post yourself all over the web. Go for it!
Dazed and confused if you have to ask someone else if it's worth carrying on with your band, then it probably isn't.
cut down the length of your intros average a&r listens to first 30 secs of a track...yours still have yet to start in that time. I get so many demos that sound like this it is enough to drive a man crazY! sorry for sounding harsh.
just being honest.
