This week the Made In Korea band did their new single which has no mass appeal whatsover - they are fine on all other manufactured ways but the song has no crossover quality at all. Then the couple who chose a Taylor Swift song go out despite perfectly adequate dancing - why? Because the song meant nothing to most viewers. Music is only aimed at specialist fan bases these days. Yes - artistes can stream billions and sell out gigs by appealing to a tiny, loyal fan base. A good way for labels to make money when run by executives who cannot hear - let alone make - a mass appeal hit. Until people who don't adore BTS love one of their hits, music is doomed as a real art. And as long as the industry is run by those uninterested in real quality - who only care about careers and profits - it may as well be dominated by the same people that sell sausages.
