JK2006 Delightful though the film is and was and sweet though Julie Andrews was (and still is) it was the music with loads of smash hits, global mass appeal hits.
Not my kind of hits (I'm an AC/DC fan) but I love and adore mass appeal music.
And I cannot understand those who don't appreciate cross over songs.
You don't have to love Leap Up And Down Wave Your Knickers In The Air or Who Let The Dogs Out to spot their appeal.
I always loved music and felt it was my duty to promote, make, break and expose good music. Of every type.
Even if you hate Climb Every Mountain, millions loved it and still do.
