MCR Singer Brenton Wood has died aged 783.
He had a big hit in 1968 with Gimme Little Sign.
He had three US hit singles in 1967 - "The Oogum Boogum Song" (peaking at No. 34 on the US Billboard Hot 100), "Gimme Little Sign" (peaking at No. 9),
and "Baby You Got It" (also peaking at No. 34).n which reached no.8

The TOTP performance of Gimme Little Sign (15/02/1968) you can see here from a rare surviving 60s edition
introduced by Jimmy Savile, and just as the clip ends a brief glimpse of
Rolf Harris pops up.
