de-caf you do make me laugh, all of you

'Last Christmas' by Wham sold 1.4 million copies and did not get to number one.
Leon will sell, what, 200k? No one gives a shit anymore
Mart I think if they continue to have to do the ghastly programme the final should be in the summer and let us have Christmas hits back that we can remember.
The Cat I doubt Leon's song will still be played even after one year. Not enough depth or quality.

I've seen so many come and go over the decades - each set to be the next big thing. Very few make it.
BR Leon has sold 250K this week after a 3 month TV advertising campaign accross the ITV network.

Slade sold 250K in ONE DAY of "Merry Christmas Everyone" when released.

Which of these two songs will still be played on radio in 25 years time ?

Sums up the quality of most TV Talent Shows.
