Woody needs to hire a rhythm guitarist to just give his band a bit more oomph. He wasn't even an original but credit where it is due he is having fun and loves touring.
Can't the singer learn some basic power chords? My partner has said numerous times "There is nothing sexier than a burly guitarist in leathers with feathered hair" The only guitarist I know who had feathered hair is Rick Derringer.

It may have done Rich, BCR fans are fucking tribal, get one fact wrong they get all bitchy and angry. If could I turn back time, I would have gone to BCR gigs as a kid.
At least the BCR did play their instruments, the Monkees did but it was very little, they played some guitar, bass, drum kit, piano and Moog synth. 99% was pure session staff.
My friend in the States said Stan Polley is still worst than Tam Paton, he loves Badfinger but they were terrible at business. They sold around 14 million records but never saw much money, I do think they also believed their own hype. Warner was never a fantastic label and much of the back catalogue never got repressed.
I remember getting hyped with Bandana (Warner band) but they were a one-album wonder, released 11 singles then they vanished. Their singles had enough material to stretch to another LP. There has not been a compilation on CD or vinyl.
Joey Molland's wife wanted to be the manager but Pete Ham refused. Joey was the one who still kept his shit together apart from boozing.
I wonder if Pete was less vocal than the rest about pushing for money, or if he threw too much money at his mistress. Each of their salaries could have bought them small houses outright even back then.
Joey $8,339.
Mike $6,861.
Tom $6,211.
Pete $5,959.

It's actually 50 years this week since their first chart topper, Bye Bye Baby hit the No1 position.
I wondered if that had anything to do with the memorial bench and the timing but there was nothing that suggested it.

I love that fans are still keeping the legacy going. It was not cool to be a lad and like the Rollers. We used to call them "Gay City Rollers." I regret not going to their reunion gigs. I would be more than happy to see Woody with his Roller band if it was local.
Derek was part of the false allegations also, Tam Paton arranged for kiddie porn to be sent to his address as he was a child nurse it was easy to ruin his career. Alan wrote an interesting autobiography.
When you look at the groupies they had, you couldn't help they were part of the problem everyone wanted something from Rollers but they got very little in return. The sex and drugs tab does not pay the bills. It's staggering they generated billions of pounds but they were only paid in pieces of shrapnel.
Badfinger had to beg to get paid and they only got pocket money, there was too much infighting also. They say Joey Molland was part of the problem - however, he was happy to take on a regular job in a petrol station to pay the bills. He stayed in America and formed his own bands. He knew that things would get settled but it was a question of when.
