Not forgetting he made a fortune for using Rick James as a sample. I had two cassette albums of Hammer in the day, both had nothing but cheap novelty value.

I never really cared for MC Hammer, or any other rap for that matter. I couldn't stand his image either with the stupid baggy trousers. The late 80s I'm sure he was a nice guy. I think he became a pastor in the end.

I found the old pic going through all my cupboards (60 years of stuff) getting vinyl, CDs and cassettes to sell online to cover past, present and future medical and legal costs which tend to mount with age in today's society. I always thought, as far as PENSIONS are concerned, that YOU CAN'T TOUCH THIS. Sadly incorrect.

I thought it was a tad too early for MC Hammer, but then I remembered that his second record sold very well in the very late 1980s.

After Too Legit to Quit, people couldn't stand him, and I do remember his cartoon series, which is ironic because he was becoming a cartoon himself and a joke.
I love how his voice gets shot when he sings the theme tune, I wonder how many takes it took. Not all the lyrics rhymed at all, and they don't even flow.
