Big End
he had a cracking voice. Another lesson in how a great voice can turn a good song into a wonderful piece of art.

Caroline was great too.
And that strange Lyndsay de Paul song from the early 70's.
But that vocal on Here It Comes Again ("you know you know you know") was stunning.

Sad news. Rod certainly had a magnificent voice and those Fortunes hits are amongst the classiest records of their time.

The Fortunes were on the same label as me Decca at the same time as me 1965 and Rod's voice was magnificent (best track to hear that is Here It Comes Again I reckon).
Died of liver cancer after two months of illness this week.
Thank God for Ken Bruce who let us know. And how sad there's no other industry board that cares, knows or bothers (ROTD too young and only written or read by low grade moaners; Velvet Rope too obsessed by executives).
Rod - if they have internet broadband acess in heaven - I thought you had one of the great 60's voices.
And check out some of the names in his online book of condolences if you want to see how highly he was regarded. Feel free to add your own there too.
