Topic History of: FAB Chart - it's MADNESS!!!! Max. showing the last 5 posts - (Last post first)

I like the FAB Chart mainly because it introduces me to new music, plus it's fun to follow. Far too much about the music scene these days is far too serious. One of the bands on the channel 4 show Mobile Act Unsigned was dismissed by the judges because they were mostly in it for fun so the judges believed they could never be successful. Hadn't the judges heard of Slade?
Also, I know that the FAB Chart has been listened to in various countries, and it has helped some little known artists to be heard. So it does have it's place on the music scene.
You just have to chill and enjoy it. The reason is irrelevant. |

I think it's quite simply one person's tastes, Pete - and never pretends to be anything else!
Which is mildly eccentric, very British, perfectly acceptable and rather quirky. |

Can someone please explain what the FAB chart is all about...?
It's a bit meaningless, no...? |

One step beyond by Madness. I wonder if it will make other charts.
What's with the Ken Dodd revival? |

Suggs and co. take One Step Beyond normality and find themselves at number 6 in this week's FAB Chart. I love that track.
Rodger Christmann has an ok song at number 10 ... I think it'll grow on me.
Redlab sound quite familiar, but I'm not sure why. I like it though.
Laurelyn Carter is young, pretty and has a good Country voice. The Fabbers tip her to go far, and so do I.
Mark S .... accoustic, and a bit retro .. and very listen-to-able.
And Ken is still spreading Happiness at the top.
Cool stuff.
