I forgot about Paul Weller, I do wonder if he was arrested a decade later, around Operation Yewtree, would he have recovered from the accusation? |

The Mick Hucknall allegations weren't a major news story. I think it was suppressed and came to nothing in the end. That is why he isn't cancelled. There was nothing in the allegations. I didn't hear about it till years afterwards. |

I never really rated Simply Red, they were mostly a covers band, or covers singer with a front man with zero charisma. That said, I quite liked Fairground and holding back the years.
The point I was making, Mick had rape allegations made against him in the early 2000s and was cleared and tours still sold well. Brian Warner had allegations made against him, cleared and is now a public enemy.
I never got into Simply Red either; I thought their songs were a dirge. I didn't mind Fairground but I never wanted it as a single. I couldn't stand Holding Back the Years with the dreary vocals, music video and tune. |
