Great place, great vibe always about making music and no egos. Quite right Ethan, the way it should be. People making/debating music passionately and then relax, have a couple of drinks and a bacon butty! Or maybe download some of zooloo's wine? |

re parr st.
The flat idea got shelved, then it was going to be a function room, then a bar (like 3345) then a function room again.
at least its not just a loss leading tax deduction anymore.
spent many nights with coldplay/beautiful south/echo and the bunnymen etc. there, it was the kinda place that kept the bullshit outside and musicians of all levels (succesful or not) hanging out together without the ego crap that normally ensues. Probably 'cos unless you'd recorded there you wouldn't know it existed. So there was no-one to impress.
I did my first demo's for Sony there with Ken Nelson thanks to The Tip Sheet bringing me to the attention of Kip Krones. LONG TIME AGO
i agree with ya, still think they kept the wrong room though.

hey GG, I'll have you know my home made pizza kicks serious ass!
I know, maybe I should get out of music and make pizza! I mean, try downloading one...now there's a business idea.
You can download wine - site in French but the idea is plain. |

Fortunately Abbey Road will not close because of the Beatles legacy and because there will always be a need for a large orchestral room in London, which "One" serves.
As far as moving on.......as my friend Robin Millar says, "Pro-tools and pizza, the opportunity for the masses to create infinite amounts of crap" |
