mickeyone Incredible guy - he financed my record shops back in the day !!
He also discovered Spencer Davis/Steve Winwood and U2 in addition to Bob Marley as well as countless other wonderful solo singers and groups - Cat Stevens, Robert Palmer, Elkie Brooks etc etc
Big End Chris Blackwell...didn't he start out this way? I have so much admiration for him. Who else but Chris would have taken a chance on Bob Marley?
centaur Just listened to a stream of the interview with Tricky on Radio 1 talking about Brown Punk, a label founded with Chris Blackwell amongst others.. great talent, artists and a vision that some of us indies can relate to.
