Just to throw something else in the mix, the first two albums of 2 Unlimited were recorded - technically at least - in a bedroom, although I never actually saw the bed. The singing was done in a padded broom closet. I kid you not. They went on to sell 20 million records and define a certain style of pop.

I don't know if there's a lesson or a moral to be taken from that, but now you know.

Concerning "All I Wanna Do", if I was an A&R I'd remix it. The vocals are drowned by the rest. I'm not a big fan of this type of singing either, by the way. But I'd still be glad to hear more garage on the radio.
