Hi
Based on the semi I think Greece is the value bet for Eurovision. Sweden is probably the strongest song with any real chance but many see it as too retro and there have been many unfair comments about the singer's appearance. Most importantly though in the Swedish qualifier the song had to rely on jury points to win finishing second in the public vote.
Russia's entry is polished and will benefit from the voting structure but it is dull. Urkaine's entry is a modern up tempo stomper with a stunning female singer with a good voice. However the song is not quite a winner in my eyes and the singer cannot move well on stage. Armenis has a catchy ethnic offering with another stunning female singer but she cannot sing live judging from the semi.
Serbia is not a winner either and although the likes of Georgia, Latvia and France may do a lot better than expected they will not be first at the end of the day.
Bulgaria strongly deserved a place in the final but was too modern for the semo voters. Ironically it may be the biggest hit record to come out of this years Eurovision. Andorra and Malta are also better than a number of finalists in my opinion but lost out due to their geography.
Finally, next year's eurovision should have east and west semi finals with twelve qualifiers for each and no guaranteed big four place.
