Martin K And I reckon we don`t like the frontmans image as much as we would want to.
I would be intrigued to hear opinions from younger listeners on this subject, or am I being "Uncleistic"??
Lippy Difficult one; like you, I think I ought to like them but don't.
Why?
Martin K The idea of the Flaming Lips, is just the sort of thing I am into.
However, and I can`t put my finger on why, it doesn`t do it for me.
What they do, they do immaculately, and it is briliant.
I just don`t like it.
I love quirky music ideas, especially in pop, that can cross bounderies, and make hits though.

This raises a question?
How many of you lot have signed an act they did not like, but knew other people would?
Big End Grrrrrrr, nash, fume and rant. The Flaming Lips are ace, ace and ace. "The Soft Bulletin" is one of my favourite albums. How dare you sir?
andrew I agree with everything you said there JK; we need more posts like these to remind us to save our money (and our delicate ear drums) and avoid this crap.
