Surely not! They must be in denial.

There's nothing wrong with Shakira's voice to my layman's ears. Good song.
Angel The voice, the lyrics? She sounds like she's being strangled under water. That cant be her real voice.
JK2006 Well SW the beauty of music is that some peoples' poison is another person's love!

Believe it or not I hear there are a few around who don't think I am a sex god.
SW I thought it was shit. How any of you can put up with her awful voice is beyond me.
itsmyparty I read recently that she's writing and recording her new album at the moment which is apparently due for release early 2009.

The last album release was a mammoth effort - a Spanish-speaking album followed 6 months later by an entirely separate English-speaking album as she tries to juggle the two sides of her career.

Hips Don't Lie came out two years ago and then she embarked been on a year-long world tour.

She always has other things on the boil as well e.g. the collaboration with Beyonce last year which hit #1, a couple of songs the soundtrack of the Mike Newell film "Love in the time of Cholera", her various latin collaborations, her charitable foundation etc

All in all a very busy and talented woman. And yes, it was a terrific track!
