Well yes, I see what you saying, but if we have no patience with an act, nothing new will happen.
The "girls buying 9 copies" was way before my time, I have only read about this.
What has not changed over the years, is simply signings that nobody has any faith in to work the tracks of.
A+R move on and leave acts behind them, is it not a better idea to tie and act to the guy that signed them and not the record company, then do a further deal?
I have a lot of promo albums here from acts of which nobody knew who the heck they were as the people that dealt with them moved on.
I for one, find this attribute very disturbing to see it happening so savagely and with a chart position, or not,involved.
Why are people still throwing it at the wall and seeing if it sticks? |

Mart, first week sales are everything, get with the plan.
All the street teams of hormonal girls buying 9 copies have been and gone. Without radio they are nothing.
