He's been at In The City.
I haven't been for about 5 years - despite going to the first 5 or so.
Sounds like JK had a good time, but without today's big players being there, can't see any reason to go myself. |

Not yet Dixie, will do later.
We tend to put food posts on the other board, so check that one out after lunches etc.
I think that the old Queen, sorry I mean King is away again currently.
I`ve only got next week that I am full on with work again, I`m having a lazy domestic and writing time here! |

Did you try it Mart?
I've used it many times. It's not 100%, but it's close, and I often been amazed by the results!.
By the way, let me know how your lunch with JK at the Riverside goes. I've enjoyed to occasional breakfast/lunch with the old chap. Always enjoyable. in fact, must catch up with him again soon - Tough I'll leave it a while so he'll have carmed down from me calling him an "old chap"! |

Thats interesting Dixie. I cannot resist of course testing this service with the most obscure thing that I can find!
I imagine that this service somehow runs via Gracenote.
When we first started being a digi download company here, Gracenote caused dreadful panicky uploading problems to say the least.
I would start uploading a song and a Gracenote logo would appear and if you were not quick enough to get rid of it, and deny it`s intrusion, your music suddenly got completely wrongly tagged, tags which you then had to remove, which took time.
Their is one tune we have out, that still consistantly is wrongly tagged, a lesson for all though emerges from this who upload to Tunecore , AIM or whatever, make sure that your computer is offline when you create the original MP3 from a master recording, you could be stuck with a duff tag for a long while. |

If you hear a piece of music and don't know what it is, get your mobile phone, dial 2580 (the middle vertical numbers on the keypad). Hold the phone towards the music source, and the call will automatically cut after 20 seconds. You'll then receive an SMS message with the songs details.
The service is from SHAZAM. I think the calls are 50p each.
(No, I'm not from SHAZAM - I just think it's a great service!) |
