Votes starting to pour in now; after Nickelback leading the field, Duffy (which I think should win) is in the lead followed by Katy Perry, then Nickelback, Coldplay (my second fave) and Rihanna (my fave).
I'd like to see Basshunter do better (a great dance track), also Adele.
And I'm delighted to see Hero lagging behind. |

The Rope reflects the passion for music we all have - nobody likes everything and the opposite of HATE (Hero?) is LOVE (Coldplay? Rihanna? Duffy?).
My "Record of the Year" has never been in the list - over 11 years.
But the format is very populist and simple and, I would say, makes amazing television, just as viewer friendly as The X Factor but far, far better for music generally. |
