Thank you Joey. I'd love to do other language versions of Vile Pervert; The Musical but cannot quite work out how.
Apart from anything else the different approaches to the judicial system (adversarial as opposed to inquisitorial) means all my European friends think UK law is mad to start with and cannot believe what happened to me.
Nowhere else in Europe (apart from Ireland) could it have taken place.

If I were you I'd be far more impressed by this award than by an Oscar.
Why?
Because that is the old brigade and the old firm. Just like the muso biz, times have changed. Bloggers and online reflect the new generation.
Your film was far ahead of standard movies most of which obey the old rules and are only reviewed by the old critics.
There are great Brit film makers like Shane Meadows and Hammer and Tongs and Danny Boyle but even they make tremendous movies which obey the old rules.
For an oldie your Vile Pervert is revolutionary and anarchic and truly original creatively.
I bet it gets far bigger in 2009. Someone high profile will pick up on it in the new year.
Here in Italy it is getting attention. Can you do different language treatments?

I'm watching the wonderful African Queen - one of my ten best ever films - and thinking... I'd love Vile Pervert; The Musical to live on longer after me and be considered one of the few films brave enough to tell the truth in a time when such a thing was scorned.

The competition was great too. Madam Arcati has good taste.
By the way I thought the film was ace.

Very good. One day, it will receive similar acclaim from the mainstream, but that day is quite a while off yet.
