Whatever one thinks of Gary Glitter-as one who went to about 4 of his shows I think he was one of the greatest showmen of his time..never dull-always entertaining.
It's absolutely pathetic. No, I don't like or endorse what Glitter has done, but it does not alter the fact that he and Mike Leander between them, made some cracking pop records. In fact "Always Yours" popped up on my walkman today - superb record - easily one of the best number ones of 1974... memorable Top Of The Pops performance too.
As for Dame Edna Everage, a true treasure! Always wondered how it would go if JK appeared on her chat show! |

Interesting JK mentions Dame Edna-I just watched a fascinating program about Barry Humphries and what a genius this man is. I loved the clips of Dame Edna they kept showing..especially her live shows.
She picked on poor woman in the front row and compared her to herself..saying "we are so much alike you and I !-except I'm rich and famous and you aren't" Wicked woman. |

Surely, the word "Bottom" should be censored. |

Yes and the Rolling Stones.
Funny how they still get played as well.......
Ridiculous censorship.
Soon bands will have to take CRB checks in order to be played on UK Radio. |

Pathetic. I suppose the Who are fortunate they didn't have a top 20 record that week. |
