Sini Caule What idiot would buy the Beatles back catalogue ? After all these years with a billion and one compilations and reissues, anyone who likes them will buy the CD. This nonsense about digital remastering, it is not as if the quality of the recording is going to get any better, just blatant profiteering of gullible Beatles fans. Don't get me wrong, I love the band but I already have the records and CDs and am not about to contribute to Paul McCartney's pockets so he can recoup from the disaster that was his marriage, nor do I want to bail out EMI.

I am not happy at all.
giles2008 Never understood the panic about The Beatles back catalogue not being available on download. Its all easily available on cd from your local stockist. Or is that too old fashioned.
Bunk Moreland I'll take your word for that Mr Jones. Ironically, EMI have 3 top ten albumsin the midweeks this week, including The Doves at Number 1, so maybe the worm has turned.
DJones EMI need a winner to stay afloat; looks like this could save them.

The royalties EMI has to pay to The Beatles are so high, this will make no real difference. Sony/ATV are the real winners here.
andrew It looks the same whats on CD already why not release the early stuff from 1959 when they had Pete Best ?
