JK2006 Ah, a Mazda ad - well spotted IMP; I shall check it out.
itsmyparty not seeing much hype to be honest in the usual press.

Read your previous comment on them a week or two back and thought I'd check them out as for various reasons I'd listened to much less radio than usual recently and the track didn't ring a bell.

YouTubed the song and realised I immediately knew the chorus, so subliminally it was catchy enough to worm its way into my brain despite my reduced radio time.

Did a bit of digging and apparently the song is being used on a Mazda advert - catchy chorus + fits current market + advert = sales.

Looked up their chart history and apparently it's their 9th single (through a variety of indie labels then indie off-shoots of Universal/Mercury) and the first to chart Top 40.
JK2006 Still nobody can explain the Noisettes to me.

The term "Major Label Hype" springs to mind.
