Yes, I pictured the Banana Splits when I heard the La La La bit. Prior to this I only knew Video killed the Radio Star. |

As the saying goes, if you remember the 60s you weren't there. I do remember the 60s but I was too young to be really "there" so I may be excused. By the time any Hippies arrived in my small town it was 1972. A good song by Quinn, though. He's one of my Myspace music buddies and has a great future ahead of him.
Nice to see the young people taking an interest in Peace and Love.
I remember the Arrows better than I remember the 60s, but mainly from their TV show. I was never quite sure how they got their own TV show when bigger bands like Mud didn't.
Buggles .... great fun. I love it. Very Banana Slits. |

Two surprises from two different decades. New at 20 are The Arrows from the 1970s, while in at 11 come The Buggles from the 1980s. I remember the fun of going in to my local record shop and asking "Have you got The Buggles?" I remember The Arrows but not the track, but The Buggles track was one of my favourites of theirs.
Other new entries come from Claire Simone - wonderful and Jazzy - and Carol Sue Kirkpatrick - a Lady of The Blues. Both quality tracks.
Quinn Sullivan takes the top spot with his Summer of Love, and there is a big climb for Tex Nihilo with one of the freashest and most fun Springtime tracks ever.

The featured video is also also worth watching. A good rehash of "In Bloom". |
