giles2008 The guitarist is Big Jim Sullivan, noted session musician who is reputed to have played on over 1000 hit records.
DJones His music is not my cup of tea, but he seems to be a very down to earth kind of guy. He treats his audience / fans with respect, and his musicians have only nice things to say about him.

He wrote only a few songs, one of them, "Fools", was covered by Elvis Presley:

Al I always think I'm not a fan of James Last until I catch one of his shows on TV and find myself enjoying it. I think it's easier to appreciate his style when you can see the audience having so much fun. I agree they are one big party.
