The Surfin Bird song is quite irritating, but I do like Jackson Cook at no.11. He has a very pleasant voice. Hopefully there will be a new no.1 next week. |

I remember that Linda Carr song. I still have it on an old mix tape I made in 75, although it's got a bit worn over the years. That Eva Karlsson song is a gem. If I had a label I'd sign both her and Scott Slater. |

I must tip the wonderful Eva Karlsson who enters the chart this week at 15. Her song has an awesome feel-good factor, and she reminds me, in some way, of the 60s. Love her voice, and everything else about this one.
Jackson Cook at 11. Not his best song but it's still well written and performed. His voice is developing well too.
The craziest thing about today's chart is the coincidence of me hearing a song playing in a passing car and thinking "Wow, I haven't heard that in a long time!", then finding it a new entry the day after. I'm talking about Linda Carr's Highwire from 1975. I was never really into Disco, but this song won me over. I wonder why the new interest? (apart from the fact that it's a great number)
Scott Slater always has a good tune to share. I like his attitude and he puts everything into his music. He's in at 18.
No change at the top (somebody shoot that bird please) but good climbs for Justin Bieber and Bat For Lashes.
