Well Chris, I'd be delighted to know what genre Plead Guilty or Harold Shipman or The Silver Stoat fits into!
Whilst Easy Lovin' and Gimme Some can be easily categorised, some may have trouble with Vile Pervert or The Geldof Principle too.
Mind you, I think I can guess what genre the tabloids will place my new album in! |

Agreed. When pressed I say I'm "post-retro fringe-core".
The worrying thing is most people nod sagely. Keeps them happy though.  |

It's not a case of need I suppose, more expectation on the part of other people. The answer to "what sort of music do yoy play" always seems tricky... "Folk", for me, brings to mind ye olde "she moves through the fair" material. We know full well we're not pop (nor are we trying to be) and trying to compare ourselves to other artists is a rocky road...
Ther other route is to carry business cards with our myspace address on it... |
