JK2006 Hey, Neil is one of my favourite artistes; it's just that he really needs to look after his appearance (in my opinion - many may feel the same about me).
Theo Walcott Neil Young IS an elderly hippie - but not a joke or a caricature. Hes not attempting to be or jumping on any bandwagon. He blaized his own trail...and opened a few doors for others - surely that demands a bit of respect regardless if you are a fan of his music (he has such a catologue, there must be something in there you like!)

Whats wrong with that? the joke is younger 'artists' (& older ones!) thinking that anyone over a certain age cannot connect with youth - thats the caricature, thats the cliche, they're the ones who are lacking in any vision or understanding of the history of their own business...

or as the Arctic Monkeys (who are a young band) might say...'get of the bandwagon and put down the handbook...'
giles2008 Noticed the Bloc Party comment and turned them off. Neil Young may be old and ugly but i bet Bloc Party would love a song as good "Rockin In The Free World" "White Lies" got it right with their excellent cover of "Dancing In The Dark" which i thought was better than Springteens original.
JK2006 I am already Theo.
Theo you'll all be old one day...
