Ah a song about a boy and his Rat. From the seldom seen sequel to "Willard" i believe. |

Interestingly, a phone poll on the DLT show last weekend showed that the overwhelmingly most popular Michael Jackson song, among his listeners, was Ben. He said that was the last song he'd expected to be up there, ahead of Thriller or Billie Jean.
I do like Black or White and think it's one of his best songs. Man in the Mirror didn't do much for me although that's obviously been the most downloaded over the past week. |

Not unexpectedly, Michael Jackson grabs the top spot and has two other new entries. He also has the video on the front page. A fitting, and prompt response to Michael's death on Thursday.
There are four other new entries.
Capptain TuDaN at 13 bring us a mild doze of Funk. There's quite a lot to this track and I got to like it a lot by the end.
Stacie Lynn Hatt's ballad at 16 has an opening line which reminds me of an old Crosby Stills Nash song, but it develops it's own identity as it carries on.
Emily Jones has a slightly more complex sound at 17, with gypsy influences. At first it sounded a bit of a mess, but then it all came together and I began to get it. Sort of hypnotic in places.
Possibly my favourite of the new entries is the very laid back sound of Implicate Form. Not easy to describe why I like it; I just do.
I imagine this chart would have looked very different before Thursday night, so well done to those involved for bringing it all together.
