JK2006 You're absolutely right Emma but one cannot cater to the stupids all the time - and karma decrees those dummies who believe prisons are holiday camps will inevitably end up in one and will discover - too late - the contrary.
Emma Bee The only drawback with saying that your experiences in prison were the best in your life is that it gives fuel to those who say prisons are too much like holiday camps. Even if you don't mean it that way.
BR and keep on giving that comfort to those who are hurting JK. It means alot to people and I am sure with your experiences you have the first hand evidence which very few of us writing on here have ever experience.

The Phil Spector sound has to be one of the greatest sounds ever created. Very few producers can claim something like that so he has to be in the top handful of producers whether you like his work or not.

We all should "follow" JK's lead and not judge people but show them the love and decency that can make their lives better.
JK2006 It was in reply to a letter from me giving him advice and, I hope, comfort.

My experiences in prison were the best of my life and I constantly offer advice on how to cope with it to anyone who might benefit and I don't care whether they are innocent or guilty.

If I can help another human being that is good enough for me.

I leave it to others to judge or condemn. I have never considered myself worthy of judging or condemning others; indeed that is why I was never given jury service; I said (and meant it) that I would always vote Not Guilty whatever the evidence since I never, ever felt competent to assess the guilt or innocence of others.

That is my position and it has not changed in 64 years.

Because of my recent experiences I can sometimes help to ease the pain of others.

And I'm afraid views like "what about the victims?" does not hold with me. There is no reason not to be kind or decent to another human being if one can be so.
Innocent Accused The American legal system is very quirky. There are of course many innocents wrongly convicted. We have no idea if indeed Phil is guilty or not.In fact only Phil knows what really happened, the rest is theoretical.

What we do know is an internationally recognised talent is sitting rotting away when that talent could be put to a better use.JK is beyond doubt a former top producer, and if he thinks Phil is up at the top then that's praise indeed.

I feel sad for the family of that poor dead girl, not really knowing what went on in her last moments.I also feel sad for the friends and family of Phil, feeling an injustice has gone on....and first and foremost i feel sorry that Phil will probally rot and die in prison,it's not a fitting end.
