david Alison Moyet is one of the very best live acts I have seen.

She has left behind what she calls her 'soul shouting' years and makes great music these days- indeed her last 3 studio albums have made the charts on her own terms. She's a great songwriter too. I love her lyrics.

She has a new Best Of out on Monday, but has collaborated with her former label Sony to make sure that her personal favourites are included alongside the hits.

here's a video where she talks about the second cd, where she was allowed to re-record old numbers as she would do them now with her current live band.
