In The Know A friend was telling me last night that over the last few days he has found a number od dead birds in his garden.

He is convinced that fireworks (causing some kind of air turbulance that disorientates the birds?) is to blame.

Anyone ever heard of this before ?
Andy H Hi;
Sadly at some point on one of your windows, you will probably find the imprint of the chaffinch as it flew into it. I had one from a wood pigeon once, and could not remove the mark for ages, it came back after every cleaning.
JK2006 Identified by my brother Andy as a chaffinch and linked (since this is a MUSIC board) here...

Emma on the other board suggests it died from flying into a window which strikes me as likely (huge tall picture windows on corner house).
JK2006 So beautiful; does anyone know what kind of bird it is? Chaffinch? Fabulous white shoulders; gorgeous light green and grey feathers.

I'm lucky in that many different kinds of birds are attracted to our tiny courtyard, full of trees and leaves and berries and branches.
