I've only been able to watch the videos via Youtube. I agree about the interval act. Here's the link to the Youtube video of it.
And the Georgian act called Bluebird. Quite classical and maybe too high brow for the Euro but I love it.
And here's the winning act from Netherlands.

Just witnessed an impressive amount of young talent at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. I was rooting for Georgia throughout as their song was, in my opinion, far superior to the others.
The Ukranian presenters struggled a bit with the English (surely there are others in the country who speak it more fluently), but overall they put on a stunning show. Very beautiful performance by a colourful visually stunning acrobatic dance group while the votes were being cast.
It was fairly close between the top four; Netherlands, Belgium, Russia and Armenia (notice no Georgia). I saw that the Eastern European countries were mainly voting for each other and with, one nation left to vote, Russia and Armenia had nudged into the top two. The last nation was FYR Macedonia. Kudos to the people of that country who gave their top points to Belgium and The Netherlands which put them into the top two positions.
The Netherlands were the winners. The main vocalist (not really a singer) was Ralf who looked, from some angles, a bit like a teenage Elijah Wood. The song did nothing for me, but it had a decent rythm. I suspect Ralf is more a dancer than a singer.
The main thing is that all the kids who took part had a great time and enjoyed the party atmosphere regardless of whether they got many votes or not. No tantrums or sulks. They had a far better attitude than many older acts, and it's worth noting that they all had to have written their own songs.
Not sure why the organisers feel the need to grant each act 12 points before the main votes were cast. It's a bit patronising. The kids know that 12 now means zero and nothing has really changed. It's something done to pacify the adults who believe that kids can't handle the pressure. In fact they can and they do it beautifully. Those involved in the main Song Contest could learn a lot from these kids.
It was a display of genuine talent. It was fun. It was a great way to spend an evening.
