Emma Bee So happy to see Jordan Jansen at No.1, and with another song in there. His singing just makes me feel good, and that's a lot of what it's all about.
The Cat Young Jordan Jansen takes the top spot with his version of 'Halellujah'. Plus he has a new entry at 18 with 'About Love'. He performs both songs admirably.

Owl City are in at 7 with Firefly. It's ok, but I was more taken by The Filthy Youth with 'Boy Don't Smoke' at 11.

Great to see Pilot in at 14 with 'January'. Not many Noughties songs will stay in my mind for decades like this has.

At 15 a very old song by a new artist. Emma Wallace covers 'Let's Start The New Year Right'.

At 20 is Xanthe with 'Winter City'.

A good and varied mix of sounds and styles for this first chart of 2010. I notice both JK and Uncle Rob Harding manage to nudge upwards while other seasonal numbers tumble, but neither of them actually mention Christmas. Both the songs about New Year also climb.
