Michael Politicians the world over like to use songs in their campaigns. Many forget to ask permission and/or pay rights. In a recent case, France's UMP party has had to pay out a total of some €70,000 for a practically unknown track.

Who needs to worry about selling individual tracks and new business models with rates like that? Also makes a joke of the "$500 and give us the publishing" music "libraries".
