I hate to admit it; until recently I would go on You Tube to check out all the current Top Ten but I've stopped bothering after I found them entirely uninteresting and this week I realise I don't know what any of them sound like.
Could it be that, at 65, I'm now too old for music?
Can't be true - when, accidentally, I stumble across a real hit (Hollywood by Marina a couple of weeks ago), I love it and play it dozens of times.
Mr de Mille - it's not me that's got small, it's the movies. |

Not really, Tinie Tempah has been one of the biggest things on the UK Urban scene for the past eighteen months or so and has been at it for about four years now. Definitely more in the Dizzee/Tinchy vein than the usual bland R&B sounds from the US and this track has had 2.8 million views on youtube . Indeed all the Majors were in for him and fair play to EMI who snapped him up and who have had a great week with three new entries in the Top 10 bet that hasn't happened for a long time! |

Oh goody yet another dreary dreary R&B "song" at number one. Can only assume its what itunes are pushing this week. |
