Wow Vince - I had no idea Fischer-Z / John Watts had made so many records. I've only got about 4 of their albums but my favourite is Word Salad - one of the early ones ...
Yes - lets revive them!

I saw Joe with Todd Rundgren last year, which was a very wierd show, in many ways a missmatch, but he probably over-rode Todd on this occasion, as it was at Jacksons` home venue in Portsmouth.
I can`t get the Fischer Z link to work Vince. |

Now - Joe Jackson. Another of my favourites. Saw him at Leeds - he was supporting the Stones. There were 80,000 people there (i'm told) and Joe (and his band) took photos of the audience. He said he would probably never play to a crowd as big again- and I doubt he ever did .....

Well John Watts has certainly been busy!

There are some things missing as my copy of the CD single of The Perfect Day has a "happy mix" of So Long! It has cheery backing vocals! Very strange! Maybe we could start a Fischer Z comeback? |

Has anyone got any of John Watts` solo stuff?
The other query I had about the band, and this is annoying as I have met the guy twice and didn`t ask,.. was that Joe Jacksons drummer under a pseudo , performing with them?
And one for DJones...I never liked "The Worker", I think in some ways this was why the band never had a big hit. They were impossible to pin down, and probably did it deliberately as well.
I watched the Haircut 100 video, and was spared it at the click of a mouse:sick: |
