I'm sorry to disagree here but I suspect this is just another example of the media winning (it was such a great story) and the station will continue to attract very few listeners as it plays less and less populist music. Wonderful if I'm wrong; marvellous if the station does indeed survive and grow and expose superb new sounds that nobody else is playing but the cynic in me says - unlikely. More likely, after the fuss has died down, stations programming relentless Lady Gaga and numerous classic oldies will continue to attract ad revenue and the smaller and smaller specialist niche outfits will survive on little interest but minimal expenditure.

It seems their audience has doubled since its axing was 'announced'.
Sometimes it takes a mini scare to make us realise what we might be losing.
