Martin K I used to wait for the charity shield match, as it heralded in the new season, but I am so into the cricket these days that I am just not ready for it when it comes around.
Wierd though innit? We`ve just finished the world cup, it`s mid summer and the next season is nearly upon us.
You have to back Chelsea to win the premiership again.
Henry`s leg did not look good last night, and I reckon he will need resting up, and I can`t see Ronaldo and Rooney starting together for a while.
Chelsea are a pretty safe bet to win the premiership in 2007, as far back as we can go, which is now.
terrylamps Usually miss it after about two weeks of it ending even when we were shit....Imagine being a real Chelsea fan and now being accused of band wagon jumping which happens all the time!. Been a season ticket holder for twenty years and been going since 1970, all the family being from Battersea.Apart from holidays haven't missed a home game in the past 12 seasons and up to two years ago went to every away game as well. Now I tend to just go to the away Euro games Lazio/Barca etc. as it eats into your life too much with young ones. My two eldest though have been season ticket holders for the past 12 years...
Roll on Ballack, Sheva, Kalou, Obi Mikel and all the rest I'm still living in dreamland thanks to Roman.
andrew West ham goal feast with cockney rejects playing the background.

andrew I had to ask you that Martin; people always say Liverpool, Man UTD, Arsenal, Chelsea.

Thay don't go to games, they wern't born near the area so I don't call them fans.

As everyone knows I'm a West Ham fan; I was born 40 miles away from Upton Park; my Dad is a west ham fan; 400 games he has attended, and a lot
of relatves are as well.

I was born in London moved down to Kent when I was 4. I've been to two games, got some memorabelia and the latest shirt.

AL - Middlesbrough never play a poor game. ever since I was into football ten years ago they have worked hard and play as a team. I look forward to watching them on tv.
Al I'm not a big tennis fan, but there is a lot of skill involved, and it demands the same level of fitness as football plus a little extra intelligence. Of course it's a sport.

Gerdening is a pastime. Tennis is a contest of skill and sgility.

When it comes to football I'm a Boro (Middlesbrough) fan, but I can wait for the new season. Life is full of so many other things to do.
