BR	Why not JK ? The Beatles - Hendrix - Stones all did covers and it did their careers as songwriters no harm. This is a christmas single after all for an ad campaign and Ellie surely needs the money because these days a Major Label act gets paid peanuts and it will be years before her own stuff makes as much as an advert. In fact Music Stars make more money from TV - Cinema - and Advert placement than from sales these days - that is the reality of it except for global superstars who sell in the multi millions.
Prunella Minge	Elton's own live version from Australia would've been a better release. This version is aimless and anodyne.
JK2006	Wins the BBC credible award and Critics Brit for people who write their own songs and has a hit with an Elton oldie. Says it all really.
