I agree JK. I in fact would go as far as to recommend your tipsters read Johnny’s excellent book about the early days of Radio 1. His vision and influence is still inherent at Radio 1 today. www.johnnybeerling.com

AD - thank you for your incisive comments - and there was me thinking the decline of intelligent music industry discussion was down to the collapse of the business. After your intelligent and perceptive post about the music industry I shall try to make sure that amusing dialogue about former essential members of the music and radio industries are kept to a minimum.
