Well it's good news in that iTunes Music Store have now corrected the problem
with it's song/artist search facility and it's now producing results.

If you search for "Jonathan King" in iTunes you will now get a list of
tracks JK has available over ITMS.

David
david There's a problem with iTunes Music Store and it's
title/artist search facility.

Artists/Songs that ARE in the iTunes Music Store aren't appearing
when performing searches either under the artist name or the
song title.

This would explain why lately sales have been down for many independent labels (my own included) - not all labels seem to be affected .. and I'm not sure of the cause of this problem ..

There was an upgrade in the iTunes Producer software - however
this should not have affected existing repertoire already in ITMS.

I also tried a search under "jonathan king" and it did not find any repertoire
- I then tried song title "flirt" and JK's track did not come up under that
attempt either.

Yet JK does exist in the iTunes Music Store, click this link
to prove the point.

so what's going on - it's costing labels money in lost sales because the
search facility is the main means in which consumers find tracks
to purchase.
