Name Dropper Another tale of how JK unwittingly changed the history of the world by inspiring Simon Cowell, through Record of the Year, to enter TV land! It makes one wonder if NASA would ever have bothered building Apollo 11 if Everyone's Gone to the Moon hadn't been a worldwide hit back in 1965?
JK2006 I don't think Simon needs to be involved - he's said many times that his entry into TV was inspired by The Record of the Year Shows (he won in 1999 with Flying Without Wings).

I've sent Tony Wadsworth another letter in case the first went astray. I can't believe that the BPI is actually avoiding supporting the show. It is such a no brainer that it would boost the sale of music enormously.

As long as the BPI has brains...
muggins cowell would surely have to 'be involved'
JK2006 No reply yet to my request for BPI support for the revival of a Prime Time terrestrial TV slot for Record of the Year - which either means he doesn't think it would do the music industry any good or he's terrified that contact with a Vile Pervert might damage him. Plus, of course, it implies he has no manners.
